Orchard School complete Whole School Training
Orchard School, a large secondary school in Bristol, have joined the Learn to lead community and have just completed their 2 days in school training covering the first two years of activity. This will ensure the benefits of the initial training and investment are realised for the whole school.
“ Over the two days we have been working with ten members of staff, including Deputy Headteacher Dorian Coxon, Heads of Houses, Behaviour Managers, and SEN staff and I think this is the way forward to truly make a difference in developing student involvement and agency for students in school. Working within one whole school with a number of staff gives the greatest opportunity for the most to be made of the Learn to lead methodology and tools. ” Susan Piers-Mantell CEO & Trainer
Here is what some of the teachers said at the end of the days
“Every single activity reflected the Learn to lead ethos – it built towards a consistent approach to take away and put into action.”
“ A great really useful training session. I cannot wait to be part of this programme to support our young people.”
“ Team work, excellent programme, sticky wall, hexies – everybody was involved, participating and it showed us how to extend this throughout our school.”
